I started listening to Owl City when they released their first hit-song, “Fireflies” and I’ve been constantly impressed with the quality and imagination behind their songs. Adam Young has really embodied someone making a cultural impact while holding fast to their faith.
The lyrics of the songs are really what inspire me though. As a designer and writer, so much of my mind is made up of raw inspiration that not everything makes sense, no would I want it to. 😉 My inspiration is random – it’s the flower of the words as they bloom from my mind, it’s the brush stroke on the page that doesn’t quiet fit in. Owl City captures this in many of songs that just don’t make complete sense, but they “feel” right.
This Owl City Wallpaper was inspired by the song, “Dreams Don’t Turn to Dust.”
“Splash down in the silver screen, into a deep dramatic scene. I swim through the theater, or maybe I’m just a dreamer…”

A few notes: 320 x 480 is for your iPhone; 1024 x 1024 is for your iPad; your desktop or laptop may take any of the other sizes depending on your monitor size and a host of other considerations. If you’re not sure of the size, just find one that looks like it would be pretty much the same size as your screen. Generally you set one of these are your wallpaper by clicking on the link to the image, then right-clicking on the image (once it’s open) and selecting “Set as Background,” “Set as Desktop Background,” or something similar. If you aren’t sure, post a comment and we’ll try to help you figure it out.
