About: The front page gives a basic summary of my life. “Eric Novak is a  graphic designer, web designer, and writer whose passion is using his creativity for God’s Glory. He is the founder of AbortAware.com and Co-Founder of CrossEyedBlog.com.” I guess I could further explain exactly what makes me tick.

Religion – I am first and foremost a sinner. Because I am a human sin is something I can’t escape, it’s engrained in my skin. However because I am a human I am valued by God. I am so loved that He sent His Son to die for me so I can be scrubbed free of my sins. Because I’m a Christian I know life won’t be smooth sailing. But I also know that God will bring me through the storm – not unscathed but stronger.

Family – I was born in Illinois and I’ve lived there for all of short life. I’ve been homeschooled and I would love to say that I’m an unsocialized geek, but unfortunately I tend to be pretty outgoing. In fact, I love public speaking and I’m hoping to do it a bit more in the coming years. Homeschooling has had a positive influence on me. I love reading and as you can probably tell I also love writing. I have three sisters, Claire, Elizabeth and Anna. They are all lovely ladies who are growing strong in Christ. I couldn’t forget my parents; their faith has kept our family together for 23 years and their marriage together for 30 years.

Business – I work primarily with our family business Remembrance Press doing technical work and layout design. In 2006 we decided to publish The Girlhood Home Companion again and it has bloomed into an amazing ministry. I work for myself doing graphic and web design. You can view my portfolio here. Hobbies – I am an avid reader listing my favorite authors as God, C.S. Lewis, John Piper and Max Lucado. I don’t go to bed without a good book in my hand. Writing is also a huge part of my life. I hesitate to call it a hobby because I use it for work so much and I don’t want to call it a job because I love writing. English would definitely be my major if I decided to go to college. I’m currently working on three books one of which will hopefully be done by the end of 2009. I’m not an extremely good artist but I enjoy watercolor and architectural/landscape drawing. Even though I’m really an urban boy I now live in a country area on 200 acres. I love outdoors and farming and if my work didn’t revolve around the computer so much I would move to somewhere remote and live off the land in a heartbeat. Right now however I do enjoy “farming” with our chickens, geese, ducks, and goat.
