Goldfinch Pictures
2007 August 12
We rarely get birds around our house because we have four cats. They keep the rodent population down in the garage, but they also scare away most of the small wildlife. Yesterday, however, I saw a goldfinch outside the window on the purple coneflower. I grabbed the camera and took some pictures. They turned out really nice, so I thought I would share them with you!
Great pictures!
I got first comment on yours, you got first comment on mine!
(Though first comment on mine is a lot easier to achieve than first comment on yours! Or Paul’s!)
Which were you going to get? There’s two there, in case you didn’t see.
Lucky you, you’ve got four cats! I’ve just got one. And she rules me. lol
Yeah yeah yeah , I’ll post a blog in a few days. I’ve been just too busy. I don’t have much to post on anyways. I’m thinking about posting a blog about our band since I’m just about finished with updating the site and the 2,000 CD’s from the replicator are suppose to be here any day.
Yep…he hasn’t been commenting much though!
Keep an eye out…I’m gonna do more reviews prolly tomorrow.
no, white! Hey! I love these pictures of the birds, wishing Gerald was up so I could show him..he’s a true bird-lover at heart! Thanks for sharing… Oh, and here’s a quote for you…”Don’t be a people-pleaser, be a Jesus-pleaser!” by me~

Very pretty pictures!! That bird is so lovely. I can’t recall ever see such a pretty yellow bird around here at our house.
Thanks for the comment. I’m so thankful to be feeling so much better

Lovely pictures, and thanks for praying for us!
That is so true, and thanks for sharing that quote. I guess what I’m really trying to say is, I have had a difficult time trying to find a purpose in my blog. I like to give people comments and I realize that I’ve encouraged many in doing so, but I’ve actually contemplated doing away with my blog because I could see no improvement and no reason for it.
But over the past few months, you, others, and obviously the Holy Spirit, have kept me blogging by pointing out in many ways that there is some meaning to my blog.
In other words, getting the ‘Blogging with a Purpose’ award, as well as others, was a big, in my face, YOUR BLOG DOES HAVE A PURPOSE! IT DOES HAVE A REASON FOR EXISTING! That’s a wonderful message to recieve when one is doubting himself. Isn’t it?
I had thought about that! If we do move out of state, it would be exciting to move somewhere close to my blogging friends so we could meet in person. Got any job suggestions for my dad in and around your area?
Well, I have piano today and boy is our teacher going to chew all four of us out! I’d better go get some extra practice time in.
Later, Melanie
Those photos are excellent! Very nice…you can use your own photos to make web graphics.
Oh, that’s funny! Yes, since the mouse is on the right side of the computer (generally), I often use my right hand – though I suppose it doesn’t really matter.
I forgot to mention in that post that at least 3 of my siblings are left handed as well. We’ve had a roughly 50/50 ratio of right handed/left handed people in our family {Abigail, David, Beth (she’s very ambidextrous), Ben seems left-dominate, but we’re not entirely sure yet}. Everyone else is right-handed, including my parents. Some of our cousins are left-handed. Kind of strange to see that many in a family.

Those are amazing pictures!
Oooh, you’re going to the Indianapolis conference? I wish Indiana wasn’t quite so far from Colorado!
It’s an amazing conference! A lot of the stuff they shared was right out of the blog, but i brought a bunch of girl friends to the conference and they hadn’t read the blog, so we’ve had loads to talk about ever since!
I hope it blesses you as much as it did me!

Those pictures are so cool!
