Just wanted to stop by real quick to say, woah. Just after I've been reading about how much "Christmas" has already invaded the public world, I went shopping with my Mom and younger sisters today. YIKES!!! Somehow we ended up walking through Macy's, and surely you've heard of (or watched) the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. They had one, puny sign for it and EVERYTHING else was "Christmas". And in this case, the Christmas music came WAY too early. Even our H-E-B (Texas grocery store) was playing Christmas music and had everything up! It's insane!

So, when can we get that petition started? ;)

Have a good night!

That is so true. The order is supposed to be Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas but now its Halloween, Christmas.
Very upsetting. Well have to go. Have a nice day!

Ah, so now I'm trendy, am I? LOL. You know I completely agree. When we were shopping for Halloween costumes this year, anytime we walked into a store with Christmas decorations my kids would shake their heads and ask if the store owners didn't know what holiday it was. And my oldest is only 9. Out of the mouths of babes, right?

I agree that it's all about people spending money, so they bypass Thanksgiving...

I can't say however that Nov. brings happy thoughts right now...but I'm trying to focus on being thankful!!

Oh yes! It does get on my nerves that the majority of the population in America completely bypass Thanksgiving once HELLoween is over. I'm very thankful (and have been for a few months) that I don't see much of that anymore. Even though we live (literally) in the middle of a city, I just don't go into town anymore. We can't afford to hop in the car and go to this place for such and such, everything has to be regulated so we've been at home A LOT more than we ever have been I think. It's really very nice. Of course, is it okay for me to be thankful that we have Christmas music? We started listening to it in August. ;)

RYC: That is so neat that your Dad was the announcer! I actually thought it was you and wondered if you'd gotten some kind of special progam for changing your voice on the computer. You sound a lot like him.

So you take voice? Awesome! I've enjoyed taking lessons this semester and I've learned so much through choir. Speaking of which, 'Messiah' rehersal went fantastic last night. I'm so going to love singing the third part!

Thanks for leaving Sarah a comment! I was... very touched by what you said about me. Could you pray for my sisters, Mom and I? I had a pretty lousy afternoon just knowing that my Dad will be gone all weekend. I missed him terribly the moment he walked out the door to go. We'd really appreciate it.

Have a great night!

I totally understand. Down town Billings has their Christmas decor up already, as well as the mansion, and even Wally World has a Christmas tree up already. It's all marketing. They want people to get in to the "holiday spirit" and blow all their money on gifts. Me being an entrepreneur, and about to open another section to my store, I really don't mind since I make the most starting in November and end in January.

Haha, I hear you there!

Oh, well, maybe I was confused. What are the different formats for saving sound recordings?

Oh yes, I totally agree! I love Thanksgiving mostly because it's a time to be thankful, but I'm thankful for everyday that God allows me to have. A sentimental reason I love it is because Kelsey and I always made the drive to SC to visit my mom and have Thanksgiving with all my family. Now she's gone and the house has been sold, the rest of the family doesn't really "do" Thanksgiving. I still cook a huge dinner and invite everyone over, needless to say, they don't come, but I'll continue to enjoy it with my family here and keep cooking those dinners anyway. Great post! Thank you!!!
